Project Description

The project is located in Cardiff and works with homeless and vulnerably housed individuals. The service provides residential support with the aim of meeting individuals’ needs, which promote independence and lead to a sustainable move-on. The project is funded through the Supporting People Programme Grant and is required to meet the Welsh Government’s National Outcomes Framework. The Framework’s four main aims are:

- Promoting Personal and Community Safety

- Promoting Independence and Control

- Promoting Economic Progress and Financial Control

- Promoting Health and Wellbeing

The Skills Scheme is a service user volunteering programme, designed to allow The Wallich’s residents and service users to either learn new skills related to general repairs, maintenance and painting and decorating, or to make use of the skills they already possess in relation to these tasks.

Purpose of Role

To conduct general repairs and maintenance on properties operated by The Wallich in Cardiff and coordinate The Skills Scheme.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.  

Please note: Driving Licence and use of a vehicle is Essential
