Project Description

This is a new role that The Wallich are piloting to provide management support to projects at short notice or at times of peak demand. For example:

- When a manager is off work unexpectedly and this is expected to be for more than 2 weeks

- When a manager leaves The Wallich and there is a gap between them leaving and a new manager starting

- We take on a new project/s and additional management input is required before the project starts

- We decommission a project/s and additional management input is required to wind down the project

Consistent management support is key to ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and that staff and service users are supported effectively. A Peripatetic Manager who can respond quickly and be ‘parachuted’ in to support a service will enable us to provide that consistent management support, provide stability to the project, and provide reassurance to commissioners and partner agencies.

If you have any questions, please contact Sophie Haworth-Booth on 07912 273100 or sophie.haworth-booth@thewallich.net

Purpose of Role

The post holder will be required to assume temporary responsibility for day-to-day operations of a service, ensuring that staff provide a consistently high standard of service delivery, ensuring objectives and targets are met in line with contract requirement and organisational values, working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders where required, whilst ensuring that staff and service users have the best possible support in place, allowing for the service to achieve its main aims and objectives.
