Hours of Work:  37.5 hours per week – predominantly Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00 with some flexibility as you will be required to do the occasional late and night shift to supervise and support the night staff team at Dinas Fechan.

Location: This Assistant Manager role is split between two residential projects Dinas Fechan and Ty Tom Jones; this will be split as Monday and and Tuesday at Dinas Fechan; Thursday and Friday at Ty Tom Jones and Wednesday alternating each fortnight between both projects. This also has flexibility and can be discussed upon successful appointment.

Project Description

Dinas Fechan in Swansea is a direct access hostel for 17 single people aged 18 upwards. Ty Tom Jones operates in Swansea working with homeless or potentially homeless men and women, aged 18+ who often have complex needs, such as historic or current substance misuse or offending issues. These services provide residential support with the aim of meeting individuals’ needs, which promote independence and lead to a sustainable move-on.

The project is funded through the Supporting People Programme Grant and is required to meet the Welsh Government’s National Outcomes Framework. The Framework’s four main aims are:

- Promoting Personal and Community Safety

- Promoting Independence and Control

- Promoting Economic Progress and Financial Control

- Promoting Health and Wellbeing

Purpose of Role

To assist the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the Services which fall under the responsibility of this role, ensuring objectives and targets are met in line with contract requirement and organisational values, working in partnership with internal stakeholders where required. To also assist in ensuring that staff and service users have the best possible support in place, allowing for the service to achieve its main aims and objectives.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
