Project Description
The project operates across Bridgend and works with priority needs homeless people to provide housing related support within temporary accommodation as a safe alternative to Bed and Breakfast accommodation. The service provides residential support with the aim of meeting individuals’ needs, which promote independence and lead to a sustainable move-on. The project is funded through the Supporting People Programme Grant and is required to meet the Welsh Government’s National Outcomes Framework. The Framework’s four main aims are:
- Promoting Personal and Community Safety
- Promoting Independence and Control
- Promoting Economic Progress and Financial Control
- Promoting Health and Wellbeing
Purpose of Role
To be responsible for the cleaning of the Alternative to Bed and Breakfast Accommodation (ABBA) housing project in Bridgend. In addition to the cleaning of the communal areas and staff areas, the post holder will ensure that any cleaning of void rooms is carried out efficiently to keep periods between a resident moving out and another moving in to a minimum and that the accommodation is maintained at an acceptable standard. On occasion the post holder may need to log maintenance issues on the organisational database and request a repair.
This role is subject to a Basic DBS disclosure.
Please note: Driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this role.
